Meet our miniature horses

Petunia

Petunia was one of our first miniature horses to join our family. She was just one year old when she came to live with us along with her momma Cheyenne. She is a rockstar and always enjoys making others feel good. She is the boss mare in the herd and can be quite the drama queen with the other horses. She is one of the original “Bob’s Girls”.

Cheyenne

Cheyenne was one of our first miniature horses when she came to live with us with her daughter Petunia. She is 13 years old and is the matriarch of the herd. She doesn’t really like to be messed with too much and usually keeps to herself. She is a very sweet girl and will let you do about anything to her. She has the most beautiful mane of any of our minis and she is a favorite when it comes to making beautiful braids.

Remi

Remi is our smallest horse and came to us as a sickly little stallion who spent most of his life with full size horses. After a lot of love (and vet visits), he is healthy, gelded, and loves being in a herd made up of others his size.

Rooster

Rooster is the other boss of the herd (it must be a blonde thing). His favorite thing is to run free (good luck catching him if he gets loose). He is such a handsome boy and loves being on his best behavior when he is on therapy visits.

Sapphire

Sapphire is our tallest mini. She is actually registered with the ASPA (American Shetland pony Assoc.). She is a favorite of all the kids that come out because of her beautiful color. She is a sweetheart but is a bit afraid of new things.

Chanel

Chanel came to us with her daughter, Cocoa, after they were rescued by Indiana Horse Rescue. She was very under-weight when she arrived but has been putting on weight ever since. She is still very protective of Cocoa and doesn’t like to be away from her but she is getting much better as she finds her place within the herd.

Cocoa

Cocoa is our youngest miniature horse. She and her momma were rescued by Indiana Horse Rescue from a bad situation. She has been a favorite since she came and has already been on several therapy visits.

Bella

The ARK is a form of “church” for our changing culture, established primarily for the benefit of people who are not yet part of any church. It will come into being through the principles of listening, love and serving, building community, incarnational mission and making disciples, and it has the potential to become a mature expression of church, shaped by the gospel and the enduring marks of the church and for its cultural context.
